Powered and unpowered sites on the edge of Boondooma Dam.
There are two camp areas, lakeside with undesgnated open area on the edge of the dam and a higher area with unpowered and powered sites (designated).
There are wood and electric barbeques, picnic tables, 2 boat ramps and hot water showers.
This is a popular water skiing and fishing dam. It is regularly stocked with bass, golden perch, silver perch and barramundi. The Barramundi are pretty few and far between and I am told although there were plenty stocked, it is a little too cool for them this far south.
Being a stocked dam, a permit is required. There are two good quality boat ramps (concrete) so this is is a popular camping/fishing/boating spot in warm weather and can get very busy at times (especially long weekends).
The foreshore camping area is a fairly open with not a lot of shade. There are some level sites here and there, however quite a bit is sloping ground (mainly grass).
A camp kitchen is provided with barbecues, hot water/sink and tables. The kiosk has some basics and sells firewood.
