Stunning camping on the edge of the dam and surrounded by world heritage rainforest.
Fires are permitted in provided fireplaces (bring your own firewood).
Great lake for kayak fishing as there are no power boats allowed. The usual species can be found here, however redclaw are easy to catch. Bring you opera house nets :)

This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.
Access is via a gravel track so not really suitable for caravans. The road in can be closed after heavy rain.
It is worth checking with Townsville Council if the road is open if there has been a lot of rain
