Shady, and grassy campground on the Dargo River, suitable for caravans and tents.
Surrounded by hills and right on the Dargo River, this is an excellent free campground that is suitable for tents or caravans.
The river is fairly shallow but flows cleanly over small gravel racers. There are no defined sites, but depending on how busy the campground is, you can camp right on the waters edge, or further back and have a bit more privacy.
The Dargo river is not a bad spot to fly fish for brown trout, I have been told of some good catches recently. One tip I was told in this river is to take a thermometer and check for the warmer water where there will be more insect activity.

Situated in an attractive horse-shoe bend of the bubbling Dargo River in a narrow valley. Well shaded by Gippsland Red Gum, Peppermint and Willows over green, short grass. Some sites slope. Surrounded by steep forested slopes. Fourth formal campground on Upper Dargo Rv Rd. Popular. Rated 4.2/5
