Great free campground on the banks of a freshwater lake with hot showers and gas barbecue.
The campground is managed by Carnamah Shire Council and is always well maintained.
There is a new boat ramp now that is very good quality and suitable for medium sized boats (jet skis prohibited). The lake is usually fullest at the end of the winter rains and slowly gets lower over summer.
As well as drinking water, and recently constructed under cover picnic area there is also a gas barbecue and hot showers. This is a great campsite, especially considering it is free. Please respect the local environment and leave the place better than you found it to say thanks to the people of Carnamah for providing it.
The campsites are mostly level and very sandy. OK for caravans, tents or camper trailers. You can camp near the picnic area or down on the beach.
Heaps of birdlife, amazing sunsets and a nice walk around the lake (about 5km). Black swans aplenty.
Pets are permitted if kept on a leash. Campfires are not permitted.
The nearby Stockyard Gully Reserve is home to a very interesting cave system which was created by an underground river. They advise that you let the SES or someone know if you are heading out there, and bring a torch for exploring. Apparently this is also a beekeeping area, so if you are alergic to bees, you might want to take extra precautions. Never saw any myself though.

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.
Just off the Eneabba-Coolimba Road, about 12km west of Eneabba or 19km west of Leeman.
