4wd only camping, amongst the scribbly gums, about 500m from the beach.

There are 59 separate sites, which are all pretty level and most have some shade, as well as a bit of protection from coastal winds. Probably the preffered site when weather is not great.

Tends not to get quite as busy as other sites closer to the beach. A track leads down (about 500m) to the beach.

There are hot showers here ($1 coin fed), rubbish bins and gas barbecues. There is also a dump point in the Freshwater day use area.

No fires are permitted here, so you should bring a fuel stove, or use the provided gas barbecue.

Luckily you won't have to put up with the sound of your neighbouring campsite running a generator, as these are also prohibited.
