Black Rocks Campground

Large grassy campground behind the dunes in Bundjalung National Park

The sites are grass, level, but with little shade. Sheltered picnic tables and gas barbecues are provided.

The creek follows along the coast for about 2km before exiting the beach, you can walk up the beach to the inlet which is not a bad fishing spot.

The nearby pontoon makes launching a kayak easy and the paddle up Jerusalem Creek is a great way to see this park from a different viewpoint.

One of my OLD regular camping spots for 20+ years, not as great as it was > all sorts of NEW restrictions.

Sites (as quoted above) are Pre-booked online/phone & are restricted in by what camping you are doing eg.,Tent, Camper trailer/ Caravan. You book > have so many number of sites for your particular camping (tent/ camp trailer/ caravan) > drive there > pick a site out of the vacant specific allocated sites & hope you get the best one. If you have a tent you can only stay in a tent site. If you have a caravan, you can only stay in a caravan site. No pet's allowed whatsoever > National

Park.

No rubbish bins supplied (anymore > bring in / take out). No wood supplied (anymore).

No 4wd access to beach (anymore) > not even allowed to walk down the 4wd track to the beach anymore, have to walk down one particular

track (used to be several tracks to the beach). "That's environmentally friendly", I hear you say > NO ! You can drive North from Woody Head up the beach right up to Blackrocks & fish out in front of the poor buggers who can't go south to Woody Head. Therefore, bait on the beach is scarce.

No water supplied has always been the case (except a small amount to wash your hands @ the toilets). All toilets are now composting (fewer than there used to be) but, do allow for disabled people to wheel up ramps.

Some gas BBQ's (less than there used to be & not as good as they used to be).

No electricity & No lighting provided (has always been the case). Creek (saltwater) nearby

for Canoeing > no more petrol motors for boats allowed > fair enough.

No generators allowed.

For the price you pay & the facilities provided, you might w ant to go down to Woody Head & stay at the National Park there > caravan park style. If rugged camping is what you like, Yuraygir National Park east of McLean is far, far better (these days).
