One of the larger campsites in this state forest, right on the Big River.
Being one of the larger campgrounds, it is popular with group campers and it can be difficult to find a spot in the busy periods.
Thanks to Peter for the following updates.
Pleasant, extended river flats with dispersed groupings of 12+ sites surrounded by forested slopes. Sub-sites are separated from each other by scrub and fenced rejuvenation areas. Most sites are secluded from the nearby Big River Rd by forest. All sites are grassed and well shaded by Mountain Ash and Manna Gum with an understory of wattle and scrub.
Wrens, tree climbers, kookaburras and wallabies are common.
Facilities include 2 BBQs and 1 WC.
