A very pleasant camp on a wide, level ridge 20m above river.
Lush green grass, slashed. Shade from white trunked Mountain Gum, wattles and an apple tree. Surrounded by steep forested slopes. 6 new BBQ.
Magpie, kookaburra, cockatoo, rosella, wren & wallaby are common.
Rated 4.3/5
There are scattered informal bush camp sites between the road and river, south of the Buckland Rv bridge (except on private land). Most are small, access is either boggy or steep slopes - best for 4 wheel drive.
There is a narrow, riverside camp at Buckland Junction about 6k upstream
