Kurth Kiln Campground

The original camping area to the west of the historic kiln is now the day area.
To the east of the kiln good horse yards and drive in and dispersed walk in camp sites have been established surrounded and shaded by a dry sclerophyll mixed forest of Messmate Stringybark, Yellow Box, Narrow-leaved Peppermint with an understory of wattle, Tea-tree, heath, sedge and hakea.
Birds are plentiful, including kookaburras and rosellas, as are flies. Koalas and wombats may be sighted.
A small dam adds to attractiveness of this picnic and camping ground.
The easy Tomahawk Creek walking circuit of 1.8k takes about 45 minutes.

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.
1.8k west down Solders Rd off the Gembrook-Launching Place Rd [C424] about 8k north of Gembrook and 16.5k south of Launching Place.
