A pleasant, small, riverside camp well shaded by white trunked Gippsland Red Gums with wattle and tea tree understory.
Adjacent to a small beach and the broad, shallow Avon River, facing cliffs. Surrounded by State Forest low hills covered with dry sclerophyll forest (spring wildflowers).

Just above the formal camp is a broad, partially grassed gentle slope shaded by blue leafed Red Box and Messmate, suitable for bush camping.
