Located in a gully by a small mountain creek near an extensive grassy snow plain, surrounded by Snow Gum ridges.
Shade provided by Snow Gums over short alpine grass and wild flowers. Site slopes but there are reasonably level terraces. Popular with horse trail riders and flies.

A stunning alpine national park made up of grassy plains and impressive escarpments and mountains.
This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.
From Licola (58k N of Heyfield, 77k N of Rosedale [A1]): NE 46k (27k gravel) on the Tamboritha Rd to Arbuckle Junction, continue left (north) 4.5k on the Howitt Rd, left (south) 0.5k down Kelly's Lane (narrow).
