A large grassed (occasionally slashed) clearing, edged by wattle, casuarina, Tea-tree backed by low dry forest.
Looks over Lake Tyres towards Lakes Entrance.
Only 4 level sites have good shade and wind protection from a row of mature cypress pines.

The lake is shallow and the sand mostly covered by sea grass.
Black swans, pelicans, water birds and kookaburras are common, as are wombats, rabbits and bandicoots.
Glass Factory ruins include a chimney and some boilers.
Unfortunately, after 16k of bumpy road, the outlook over the lake is constrained by shrubs and access to the lake is limited to one set of steps.
Use of gas stoves and portable toilets preferred.
Glasshouse Beach (ocean, surf) is about 2k distant.
