A narrow, extended riverside flat, well treed, semi-dispersed level, short grassed sites.
Good shade from Peppermint, Manna Gum, Blackwood and wattle. Surrounded by steep forested slopes - almost a gorge.
A pleasant, quiet camp although access is tricky.

6 Mile Camp, marked on some maps, is now closed to vehicles.

This campsite is in Alpine National Park
A stunning alpine national park made up of grassy plains and impressive escarpments and mountains.
This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.
From Mansfield [B320]: East 21k on the Mount Buller Rd [C320] through Merrijig, right (south) 18k on the Howqua Hills Rd (gravel) to Sheepyard Flat, cross the Howqua River (road now called Brocks) a further 9.7k, left down signed gravel track 100m to level parking and walk-in camps, right over small ford 600m rough, narrow, gravel track.
