A large bush camp site extending from grassed clearings on both sides of the road into the surrounding forest, especially on the south side away from the creek.

The gravelly ground slopes gently. Well shaded by Blackwood, Mountain Ash and wattle. Poplars and apples are remnants of the forestry camps.

Wrens, tree climbers and kookaburras are common.

Popular with trail bikers, especially at weekends. Parts of the area are worn, reflecting constant use.
