A small, pleasant, level camp ground by the rushing Big River, well shaded by large, tall Snow Gums over short grass.

Situated in a broadening of the narrow Big River valley, surrounded by steep forest mountains and partially cleared hills. A bit close to the Omeo Hwy.

Rated 3.6/5

Vic Roads patrol camp upstream.

Big River, with its headwaters on the southern slopes of Mt Bogong, becomes the Mitta Mitta at the bridge.

There are a couple of informal, secluded riverside sites downstream of the bridge, probably requiring 4 wheel drive across the bush covered flats.
