A small, pleasant, level camp ground by the rushing Big River, well shaded by large, tall Snow Gums over short grass.
Situated in a broadening of the narrow Big River valley, surrounded by steep forest mountains and partially cleared hills. A bit close to the Omeo Hwy.

Vic Roads patrol camp upstream.
Big River, with its headwaters on the southern slopes of Mt Bogong, becomes the Mitta Mitta at the bridge.
There are a couple of informal, secluded riverside sites downstream of the bridge, probably requiring 4 wheel drive across the bush covered flats.
