A large extended site shaded by very open Black Box and River Red Gum woodland on short grassed flood plains (very rarely flooded).

There are twenty five tables and fireplaces. It is popular at peak periods.

Nearby Lake Brimin is one of a string along Outlet Creek - all normally dry - the end of the Wimmera River. Emus, kangaroos and lizards are common.

Parrots, cockatoos, galahs, wrens and robins are also common, especially in spring when wildflowers abound.

Cyprus-pine woodlands grow on the dunes near the lake, merging with mallee then heathlands to the west. West of Outlet Creek sand hills predominate, covered with grasses, desert banksia, scrub cypress pine, Tea-tree and herbs.

Can be hot and dry in summer, winter nights can be cold.

Bring your own water and firewood - supplies are uncertain.
