Reasonably pleasant lake-side bush camping in dry open woodland forest within Rocklands State Forest.
Vehicle tracks follow around the lake for some distance. Some sites slope.
Reasonable shade provided by Yellow Gum and Box.

Kangaroos, wildflowers, ducks and flies are common.
An attractive site even if the Reservoir is not full. May be hot and dry in summer, difficult access in winter.
Two new concrete boat ramps have been constructed at Rocklands Reservoir
in 2015 to provide recreational anglers with better access to one of western
Victoria’s largest impoundments. 50,000 brown & rainbow trout yearlings have been stocked into Rocklands since 2013 improving fishing conditions.

From Balmoral, east 12k on the Rocklands Rd, left (north-east) 1k, right (east) 4.4k on the Rocklands-Cherrypool Rd (gravel), right (south) 3.2k down a signed narrow winding graveled track.
