A partially cleared hillside site surrounded by tea tree and scrub.

Well shaded by Yellow Gum and Stringybark but trees inhibit access and turning - designed for tent camping. All sites slope. Maintenance and use appears low. No river view.

Rated 3.7/5

Whip birds, black cockatoos, ducks and mosquitoes are common. Koalas sighted. Redfin and rainbow trout.

Local farmer Edwin Hiscock drowned in 1913 while crossing the stoney ford with a horse and spring cart.

There are 6 attractive river-side picnic spots off The Boulevard towards Hotspur in an unexpected picturesque lush wet sclerophyll forest (including ferns) but camping is no longer permitted since Park transferred from Forests to VicPark control.

The Boulevard remains a pleasant tourist drive and worth a look.
