Well provisioned campground with easy access to the Ramsar Wetlands Declared Yalgorup National Park.
The campground has a camp kitchen with gas fired barbecues, washing up area and burners. There are also communal fire pits (bring your own wood).
There are tent only sites, as well as some suitable for caravans and campers. The campsites are level, and mainly dirt/grass, with picnic tables and surrounded by grass trees and peppermints.
One of the best reasons to visit here is a chance to see the Thrombolites. They have built a boardwalk now to allow you to view them from above without damaging them.
Don't forget your binoculars, bird book. You have a good chance of spotting many of the migratory birds that call these lakes a temporary home.
The lake itself is fairly shallow, but a kayak is still a great way to get away from the other campers and gives you the chance of spotting more wildlife. There is also nearby 4wd beach access which will give you access to some of the excellent beach fishing along this stretch of coast. Whiting and Tailor are pretty much guaranteed and if you are lucky, maybe a Mulloway. I found the most productive areas near where the reef comes in to shore.
