These are kayak / canoe in only area on the banks of the Shoalhaven River, approximately 13km south west from Tallowa Dam.

This is a "find your spot" type caming area. Look for beaches on the side of the river and you will have to explore a little to find a flat grassy spots.

The beauty of this campground is waking up on the river and knowing you have the whole place to yourself.

Note this is a power boat free stretch of water so peace, quiet and excercise is pretty much assured.

This campsite is in Lake Yarrunga and Tallowa Dam

A stunning stretch of water on the Sholehaven River right near Kangaroo Valley (about 200km south of Sydney).

This campsite is accessable by boat only.

Getting there

Put in at Tallowa Dam, and paddle away. It is about 13km. It took me just over an hour to get there but you should allow 2-3 for sight seeing.
