Yea River (Informal) Campground

An informal bush campground right on the Yea river with limited (read no) facilities.
This site is usually pretty busy, as the Yea river can offer up the odd decent sized Red Fin, so the fishers like it. Access to a lot of the Yea River is difficult, but if you are going to fish it, try to find somewhere that has had less pressure on it than this spot.
As this is not a designated campground, there is a chance it could be closed since I was last here. If the site no longer exists, or has been closed, then Kinglake National Park is an excellent alternative. (See link to "The Gum" Campground on the left. Alternatively there is a nice caravan park in Yea on the Yea River.

This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.
On the westbridge road, just off the Melba highway about 33km south from Yea, Victoria.
