This is by far the most popluar campsite in Briagolong State Forest, with well established facilities and plenty of room for larger groups.
A short walk from the campsites is Blue Pool, and excellent wimming spot, at the bottom of a bassalt gorge.
There area also a number of short and long walks accessable from Blue Pool, including the 60km, Track 96. This walk can be done in sections or as over 3 days.
Thanks to Peter for the following updates.
This is most certainly the most popular (and best) swimming hole and picnic area in the area.
The fenced camping area is designed for tents - on a grass slope. The gravel car park slopes - only 1 level car/van site
0.5k north of Blue Pools is a small flat by Froam Creek tucked in below the road and steep ridges, perched 50m above Freestone Creek. - an old house site with a walking track back to Blue Pool - my preferred camp
