Boat access only camping on the western side of Bribie Island

There are cold water showers, toilets, picnic tables and fireplaces (obey fire bans).

12 campsites are set overlooking the Pumicestone Passage. They are level and sandy (remember to bring sand pegs).

You will also need to bring your own firewood (fires are only permitted in existing fireplaces and check local fire bans)

Camping Fees:

Fees for camping permits in national parks and other protected areas, forest reserves, State forests and recreation areas, from 1 July 2016: $6.15 per person per night, or $24.60 per family per night; $3.40 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved educational excursions.

For a camping close to Brisbane, it is hard to go past Bribie Island, with open beaches, excellent campgrounds and the chance to engage 4wd on the sand.
